AWARE Power Fund Workshops
Powered by AWARE, The T Project is really privileged to offer a series of empowerment workshops for the trans community. Covering six different topics that directly impact the community, these are the behind the scenes at the workshops.
Our final AWARE empowerment workshop was a special collaboration with Project X. The participants got a taste of identifying a social issue and creating solutions to combat it. They also learned about the power of sharing their personal stories.

Our fifth community empowerment workshop talks about a something close to the heart of the community, drugs and addiction. With very little peer support and community bonding, many in the community know someone who has encountered drug abuse.

At this Empowerment Workshop, powered by AWARE and facilitated by Action For Aids (AFA), attendees learned about ways to prevent and manage HIV/AIDS. Information was shared on measures such as PrEP and PEP, as well as how you can support your peers who are living with HIV.

Facilitated by Living Better, a group that aims to improve mental health literacy, and powered by the AWARE Power Fund, this workshop helped the members cope with stress through guided conversations and exercises.

In this workshop powered by AWARE, participants gained knowledge on Assertive Communication. They explored different communication styles and how verbal and non-verbal cues can influence conversations.

A workshop for participants to better understand mental health and depression, allowing them to pick up on risks and recommend professional help for their peers. Facilitated by Oogachaga and powered by AWARE
